Web Development
This page has basic information of my previous web development experience. View below for links to more descriptive pages.
Most recently, I am currently working on a Game Portal (development title: Game Manager) for my friends and me to have a web-based method with which to play various role playing games. The tools I am using for this application are as follows: PHP, XHTML, CSS, MySQL, Javascript, and jQuery.
I also spent the past year as a Student Web Developer with User Support Services at The College of New Jersey. I have worked extensively with PHP, XHTML, CSS, Oracle, Javascript, Prototype, and Smarty in the development of these applications.
In the Fall 2008 semester, I participated in a class offered at TCNJ entitled “Special Topics in Computer Science: Web Application Development.” This class was run by Dr. Peter DePasquale and was aided by the Database Systems course run by Dr. Monisha Pulimood. This class created a volunteer registration website for the Trenton Area Habitat for Humanity, which included a basic template for volunteer registration and management.
Previously, I was the Web Director for TCNJ’s student run radio station, 91.3fm WTSR. Along with a visual redesign (no longer viewable), I started the change towards using GMail as the main e-mail host. I did minor maintenance on various pieces of the site. Soon, I will be working with the current Web Director to implement a Schedule system, which would assist with user-friendly changes to the current Schedule.
I was also the Webmaster for BSA Troop 17 in Denville, NJ, where I attained the rank of Eagle. I worked with an Assistant Scoutmaster to regularly update the website, and I also included the beginnings of AJAX functionality, back before it was largely used in websites.
